Thank you for supporting Winthrop Public Schools and voting YES on Tuesday, July 25th.  The polls are open from 8am to 8pm. We appreciate your support.

SCHOOL BUDGET VOTE WAS TUESDAY, JUNE 13th...now what?
Before the vote, we had reached the two-thirds point in our budget approval process. Your Board of Education had approved the Warrant Articles and total budget and the Town Council had approved the Warrant Articles and total budget on Monday, June 5, in a vote of 4-2 with no changes made to any of the Articles. And for that, we were thankful to the Council immensely. While that was not a perfect budget, and it did not restore all of our cuts, it put us in a very formidable position to move forward for our students for the upcoming school year. The next and (would have been) final step in the process was on Tuesday, June 13, when citizens went to the polls and voted. At that time, the $11.188,908.55 budget was voted down.  The budget is crucial as the Winthrop Schools need to position ourselves to continue to build upon our stellar performance and enhance the work we do in teaching and learning for our students and for our community.
