The Bailey Public Library will host a candidate forum for the contested Winthrop School Board races on Thursday, October 29, at 6 p.m. in the library’s King Event Room. All seven candidates have agreed to participate.

Candidates for the two three-year terms are Bethany Drouin, Whitney Kahn, Erin Steorts, and Timothy Wess. Candidates for the partial term ending December 31, 2027, are Ella Braaten, Tracy Hovance, and Julie McFarland.

Library Director Richard Fortin will moderate the forum, which will include candidate statements, discussion of school and district issues, and questions submitted by the public. Residents may submit written questions at the event.

The forum will also be livestreamed on the Town of Winthrop YouTube channel at youtube.com/@TownofWinthrop.
